Turn-based or real-time: which suits mobile better?
Combat style changes everything on a phone. Turn-based systems, like the one in Emberfall Saga, are forgiving of interruptions — you can pause mid-fight to think, or to get off the bus, and nothing punishes you.
Real-time combat, on the other hand, gives you that rush but demands your full attention. It's brilliant in short bursts and miserable on a shaky connection or a bumpy commute.
I've come to prefer turn-based for daily play and save real-time games for when I'm properly sitting down. Neither is better; they just fit different moments.
If you're picking your next game, ask yourself when you'll actually play it. That single question saves a lot of disappointment.
